Like Scrabble, in Wordox you place your word combinations on a game board.

Also like Scrabble, placing your words strategically on the board will help boost your score (Cf rules).

However, unlike Scrabble, the letter rack is communal. Don't miss out on a word, someone else might get it!

Another major difference from Scrabble is that you have the chance to 'steal' the points of your opponents by using their letters to form your words.

And yes, Wordox is also and above all, a tactical word game. You need to be strategic in order to win the game.

Wordox is also a game accessible to beginners.

Letters in Wordox all have the same value. The game is therefore won by strategy, rather than by the use of X, Y and Z in your words!

How to play Wordox on Facebook

The aim of the game is to form words from Letters in the rack and on the game board (in crossword fashion) to score a maximum of points and win.

Each Wordox game is played up to 25 points. The first player to reach this objective wins the game.

One rack for all!

In Wordox, everyone plays with the same rack. In turn, within a time limit, you have to use the remaining tiles, plus those drawn randomly from a 'bag'. There are 98 Letters in the game.

All Letters have the same value: 1 Letter = 1 Point

In Wordox, every Letter is worth the same: 1 point. Using a Q or a J will score the same as an A or an E.

Stealing Letters: Each opponent's Letter used = A Letter stolen

Wordox is much more strategic than any other classic word game you have ever played. Once you have used your opponents Letters to form your word(s), their color will change to yours (if your word appears in the dictionary).

Each stolen Letter will be deducted from the score of each opponent and added to yours.

Special Squares: Central, Stars and Vortex

The Wordox game board is a 9-by-9 grid, including 16 Stars, 4 Vortex and a Central square.

The Central square: when the game board is empty, you must place a Letter of your word on this square, or your move will be invalid.

The "Stars" square: every time you set a Letter on a Star square, you get a Star. Each collected Star will be added as a bonus point to the score of the first player to activate a Vortex, while opponents will lose theirs.

The "Vortex" square: when a Letter is set on a Vortex square, Stars will be added as bonus points to the player who activated it. The Game board and the Letters in the rack will be renewed.
